You have your Pagebuild website up and running, but how do you know how well your site is performing?
This is where traffic tracking comes in. There are many great traffic tracking tools out there, but one of the most popular is Google Analytics. Setup is easy - you register a free account (or use your existing Google account), create a profile for your website, and put a bit of code into your site. Google Analytics then tracks your visitor traffic sources, page views, most popular content, and pretty much any other statistic you could imagine ever needing or wanting to see.
Here at Pagebuild we've made it easy to install Google Analytics on your site with our easy to use website builder.
Log in with or register your Google account
Go to www.google.com/analytics and click on “Sign Up Now” if you don’t have one, or sign in with your existing account. You will be required to verify your email address if creating a new account.
Sign up for Google Analytics
- After creating or logging in with a Google account, you will be taken to the Google Analytics signup page. Click on “Sign Up”.
- Enter your website address, website name, country, and time zone on the next page and click “Continue”.
- Next, enter your contact information.
- Read through and accept the User Agreement
- You will then be taken to a page which shows you your Google Analytics code. Ignore this, you don’t need to worry about any of this code to set up Analytics when building a website with Pagebuild. Simply click “Save and Finish”.
Set up your Analytics account in Pagebuild website builder
Next, you will be taken to your main Analytics profile page. This is where all of your tracked websites are listed. You should see your website in the list.

- With the UA number copied, log into your Pagebuild site builder account.
- Next, click on “Site Settings” in the toolbar at the top and click on Analytics in the settings window.
